Keeping things safe for our guests at The Dorchester
Following the guidelines from the government we opened on the 4th July 2020 and it was lovely to welcome our guests again.
Just a quick message to any guests that have booked to stay at The Dorchester Guest House or those that are considering booking
In light of these Covid times we have decided to reduce the number of letting rooms we will be trading with. We believe that it will help keep our guests safer, as well as ourselves. Please contact us directly to discuss your booking, or to let us know if you have any questions or concerns and we will be more than happy to help.
.. We will welcome you as warmly as always but from a safe distance!
.. We will be operating with a reduced number of bedrooms for the foreseeable future.
.. These rooms will be set apart from each other and we kindly request that all guests adhere to Social distancing guidelines during their time with us.
.. Our check-in times are from 3pm – 9pm.
.. We ask guests to provide a specific time of arrival where possible for check-in.
.. If this time changes for any reason, traffic delays etc. then we ask that you call us on 01271 865472 to advise us of a new arrival time please.
..We kindly ask that guests use the hand sanitizer provided on arrival and in communal areas.
.. We will only be checking in 1 room at a time.
.. Guests will be issued with a key and given directions to their rooms.
.. We kindly ask that breakfast is ordered the day before.
.. We will also ask for a breakfast time to be specified using the breakfast form in the room.
.. All food is freshly prepared by ourselves.
.. We kindly ask that guests use the hand sanitizer provided before entering the breakfast room.
.. Tables will be well placed to conform to social distancing guidelines.
.. The buffet will be closed, but all the usual items will be available via table service instead.
.. The honesty bar will be closed for the foreseeable future but drinks can be served on request.
.. Beers, Wines and soft drinks will be available in the mini-bars in the rooms.
.. We will not be offering a daily room cleaning service for the foreseeable future. All rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected upon guest departure and before your arrival.
.. We have a system in place to refresh towels, toilet rolls, mini-bars, beverage trays etc. upon request.
..We would kindly request that if any of your party has Coronavirus symptoms prior to your arrival that you postpone your stay. If you develop symptoms during your stay to advise us immediately.
